Welcome to our Humble Abode!

Hi everyone!

I know, I know.  It's been forever since I've posted anything!  I'M SORRY!!  I have been so busy with school and work that I haven't had any time to do anything.  However,  I took some time today on my day off to do this post.  This post is dedicated to Scott and I's first apartment!  I thought it would be fun to remember what our very first apartment together was like so I recorded a short tour on my camera, and I mean short. So, here ya go!  Enjoy!!

I had a hard time uploading the video so you'll have to click on this link to see it! >> The Video!

So, other than school and work, Scott and I have had fun going to Buffalo Wild Wings, which we still go to on a weekly basis to get our free wings, and finding cheap things to do to occupy our time.  Last week we went to an old run down mini golf course.  It isn't maintained by anyone, so you just go, pick up a putter and ball, and have at it!  It was a lot of fun not to mention FREE!  which is always a plus!
On a completely unrelated note, Scott and I have been married for over 10 months.  Can you believe it? It seems like just yesterday we met in singles ward!  Time flies way too fast!  With so many friends and family having babies lately, it's got me thinking of my own FUTURE family.  Emphasis on the FUTURE.  Seriously though, I can't wait to start a family with Scott to share all the fun times!
We love you all and can't wait to see you soon!  *hugs and kisses*

Summer Times

Hey everyone!,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while!  We have been so busy this summer and I haven't had time to post!  So, let  me just update y'all on our summer so far:
We started out the summer with my family's annual camping trip to summit creek.  The weather was actually decent this year, as apposed to rain and snow, and we had fun swimming, playing cards, and four wheeling as always!  My favorite part was just spending time with my family.  They are always so much fun to be with!
Playing cards
We spent a long time trying to teach Curtis to shuffle and bridge the cards...
My dad will appreciate me putting this picture up!
Scott and I on the way home!
We spent one Saturday at Lava Swimming Pool with my family.  Scott started out with a bang, doing a gainer off the top platform.  I didn't get him a video of him then but he later did one on a lower platform that I will post! The rest of us felt outdone, so Curtis, Kollin, and I all went off the top platform for the first time!  It was sooo scary! (and hurt a bit too)  Curtis showed off his skills in a game of water basketball, and Kollin and I had a good time going down the slides.

We just got home from Lake Powell yesterday! This was my first time ever going and had a blast!!  The lake is beautiful and we never ran out of things to do!  It got up over 100 degrees every day we were there but was so windy and rained a few times on us at night.  It was nice to be able to jump in the water and cool down whenever we wanted! On Thursday, the Rasmussens (Scott's Aunt, Uncle and cousins) were able to  come up with their ski boat which Scott loved because he was dying to go wake boarding.  So, we spent all day Friday on the boat!  I even tried wake boarding a bit and almost got up!  When it started getting stormy we headed back to the house boat and got caught up in some pretty nasty waves, but made it back safely.  In all, the week was great, and I even got a little tan! (:

The fishing was awesome and the boys caught about 40 fish not to mention about 20 more lost/thrown back!
Other than that, we have just been having a pretty relaxed summer.  Scott continues working and going to school, and I have yet to find a job, although I have gotten close.  I'll try to do better posting when things happen!  Can't wait to talk to everyone again soon!  Love ya!

We're Done!!!

This week was finals week, and was surprisingly not too bad!  Last week, however, was a different story.  With teachers cramming in the final projects, papers, and tests it was stressful to say the least.  After getting through the semester, Scott and I finished with mostly "A"s.  Now that summer has officially began, I have began the journey of job searching (if anyone hears of a CNA or phlebotomist position in Logan, I would appreciate a heads up).
We went home last weekend and had so much fun, although, once again, I forgot my camera to take pictures. We were able to go home earlier than usual, thanks to Scott's work schedule, and my teachers decision to cancel class, and made it to Blackfoot Thursday afternoon!  On Friday, I had fun styling my cousin, Savannah's hair for prom since her mom was away.  She looked B-E-A-UTIFUL (if i do say so myself).  That night we went to Scott's favorite restaurant, Famous Dave's with Gaye and Steve.  It was so much fun and tasted sooooo good! Thanks mom and dad!! (: Saturday we hung out most of the day before going over to my aunt Kerry's house to watch some UFC fights.  Two of Scott's favorites were fighting and it was fun to see him so excited about it.  Sunday we went to church and hung out with my family before heading back to Logan to get a good nights rest before finals.
Wednesday was Scott's birthday. Neither of us had finals or work so it was a full day dedicated to celebrating!  We had breakfast, opened presents, went to see 42 (which was SOOO good! I would recommend it to everyone!), and then had dinner at Sizzler.  Birthdays are pretty much my favorite, and I loved having a day when I could spoil my husband as much as he deserves...which is a LOT!  We look forward to going home next weekend for mother's day and can't wait to see everyone!!  Love you all!!!   -The Jones'

General Conference

Well, we had a pretty uneventful but a good week!  We mostly just went to school and Scott worked.  On Thursday we were able to go to the temple which was so nice!  We hadn't been in a while and I nearly forgot everything about it!  On Friday, a couple from our ward invited us over for dinner and games.  We had fun visiting and playing with their many pets.  They had a dog, bird, and guinea pig, and I was surprised to hear that Scott didn't mind the dog being inside the whole time!  Saturday while Scott was at work, I watched general conference which really pumped me up, and i went to town on our apartment!  I cleaned for about 5 hours and now it looks great!  Scott was really pumped to see a clean place when he got home too. Sunday was a nice relaxed General Conference Sunday!  Scott and I always like to relax together, and it was especially nice to be able to listen to the word of God at the same time!  I read a really great blog the other day, and thought I would share!  It's called "In the Head of Al Fox" (The Tattooed Mormon)  It's about this girl and the trials she has gone through.  Anyways, very inspirational and fun to read!  We miss you all and can't wait to see you again!

Easter Weekend

Scott and I made it up to Idaho Friday night after Scott got off work.  We stayed up watching movies and playing Nazi Zombies with Curtis, Kollin, Dave, and Kylee.  (I got pretty good at that game).  The next day Scott and I went to Idaho Falls to return some wedding gifts.  We got rid of all but one and made some sweet moo-la! Later Saturday, we set up a net and played bad-mitten until the girls headed off to Snake River's DYW program.  The girls all did so great and ended up with Malia Saupan as the winner, Scout Baldwin as 1st alternate, and Raegan Martin as 2nd alternate!  Such cute girls in Curtis's grade!  While we were out at Snake River, Scott had some good bonding time with Kollin.  They went to Blackfoot High School and played tennis and then went to Rupe's for ice cream!  What studs! Easter Sunday was so much fun!  We went to my grandparent's ward for their farewell.  They are serving their third mission in Fresno, California and left Sunday night for the MTC.  We then headed back to my house for a little dinner with the family, and then left for Scott's house.  We had fun with Scott's parents and several of his sister's families there.  We had a second dinner and an Easter egg hunt and Scott creamed his brother-in-laws in a dunking contest.  He was throwin' it down hard, and has the bruises to show for it. After the Easter egg hunt we showed up at my Aunt Kerry's just in time to watch everybody leave and to have a third dinner.  We ended the night playing card games with my family, and then proceeded to drive home.  It was so nice to see our family!  It had been a long time since I had seen them last and was really starting to get homesick!  I'm already looking forward to going home again! If only it weren't so far, we might be able to go more! Oh well! That's life as a newlywed I suppose!  Love you all!

New Bloggers!

Hey everyone!,
Just thought I would start a blog so everyone would know what we are up to!
We had a busy week with it being spring break this week! We began our week by camping out at a new Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant!  (They were giving out a year of free wings to the first 100 people in the door) We set up camp on Sunday afternoon, expecting to sleep until early Monday morning, but soon found out that when you are competing for a year of free wings, you don't sleep.  The owners would come out every hour or so, unexpected, to give everyone there a single sticker.  At the end of the night whoever had the most stickers, got first in line.  Well, everybody that stayed there got all the stickers, so they ended up giving away 104 coupon books for a years worth of wings!  Yes, WE GOT ONE!! Scott and I had a lot of fun with our first all nighter together, and have already gotten our free wings twice this week!
The rest of the week was spent shopping, cleaning, and relaxing in the time that Scott didn't have to work.  I also went home teaching which was awesome!  I went with a lady named Sister Nielsen, who is super funny, and we just popped in on our sisters since we hadn't been able to get a hold of any of them.  2 out of 3 were home and the third called me on Saturday to let me know we could stop by on Monday!  Oh how the Lord blesses us.
Happy St. Patrick's day everyone! Our holiday was celebrated with Scott wearing a bright green tie to church, me wishing we had some green food dye to make green pancakes and milk for Scott, just like mom used to do, and going home teaching! Too bad I can never plan ahead!  Oh well, there is always next year!
We continue to go to school, and getting excited for the end of the semester and summer to begin!  Thats all for the Jones clan! Love you all!!
